Borrow light with low-iron glass partitions and transom glazing above doors. Corridors become light wells instead of tunnels, and privacy stays intact with fluted or reeded glass.
Bounce it with finish strategy: ceilings at 90 percent reflectance, pale floors with a matte seal, and one mirrored surface opposite the main glazing can lift ambient light by a third.
Zone it with structure, not walls. A dropped timber beam, a change in ceiling height or a rug of different stone marks kitchen, dining and lounge — while the daylight flows uninterrupted.
